- From January 1, 2029, new guidelines will be followed. According to which certain supermarket systems, refrigerated transport equipment, and automatic commercial ice makers will be required to use reclaimed HFC refrigerant for covered servicing or repairs.
That doesn’t mean every HVAC system must use reclaimed refrigerant. It means recovered refrigerant is becoming a more valuable part of the refrigerant supply system.
